Manual Software Installation

The ISTP CDF Skeleton Editor can be install and used in two different ways.  The simplest way utilizes Java^TM^ Web Start technology.  The other method installs the editor as a traditional Java desktop application.  The procedures for each of these methods is described below.\

• Manual installation of only the prerequiste software required to run the CDF Skeleton Editor as a Java^TM^ Web Start application.
• Manual installation of the CDF Skeleton Editor as a traditional Java application (not a Java Web Start application). It also has the benefit of allowing users to open and save .skt files.
