Since all variables that have a VAR_TYPE of Data are time varying, according to the ISTP Guidelines, they need to have at least a DEPEND_0. Higher dimensional variables may or may not need other DEPEND_X attributes. The Editor is set up so that only those attributes that are needed for a given variable are active.
Setting up the Depend variables is very similiar to setting up the labels for a variable. If there are variables that match the type and specifications needed for a given variables DEPEND attribute, they will be listed under the appropriate pull down.
Once again, in this case there are no Epoch variables present, so we must create a new one.
After the variable is created it is listed in the list of variables.
