PUBLIC OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
We have added a number of “Make & Take” Activities to our website, for you to use during your public events around the August 1st Total Solar Eclipse.
“Make & Take” Activities are informal or general education activities that can be adapted for public programs at museums & science centers.
"Make and Take" activities are simple, hands-on, craftsy with easily accessible materials, inexpensive to prepare, and either work as a demonstration or result in a tanglible product that can be taken home.

- Color your own Eclipse Dragon, and learn how ancient cultures once believed a dragon was eating the Sun during an Eclipse.

- Match up images of the Sun taken in different formats.

- Create a paper model that demonstrates the layers of the sun.

- Build your own paper sundial and tell the time of day by using the Sun.

- Make your own flipbook of drawings showing the progression of a Total Solar Eclipse.
