cdf-dist-all.tar.gz  Source code for CDF (C and all Java).
                     This version-independent path name is a symbolic link to
                     the file with version in linux directory.

cdf-dist-cdf.tar.gz  Source code for CDF (C only).
                     This version-independent path name is a symbolic link to
                     the file with version in linux directory.

cdf-dist-java.tar.gz Jar files for JNI-based APIs, tools and CDFML. It requires
                     the installation of CDF library. This jar file is based
                     on Java 1.6.
                     This version-independent path name is a symbolic link to
                     the file with version in linux directory.

cdf-dist-java_src.tar.gz
                     Source code for JNI-based Java source APIs, tools
                     and CDFML. It requires the installation of CDF library.
                     This version-independent path name is a symbolic link
                     to the file with version in linux directory.

cdf-dist-cdfjson.tar.gz
                     Source code for CDF-XML converters. These are JNI-based 
                     applications. 

cdf-dist-cdfml.tar.gz
                     Source code for CDF-Json converters. These are JNI-based 
                     applications. It also contains a couple of other Jar files
                     for supporting the Json operations.

idl               Directory holding the patch for IDL to CDF.

linux             Directory holding the source code, release and change notes
                  for the CDF version for Linux system. It also has the Java
                  and Perl interface packages.

macosx            Directory holding the universal binary packages of the CDF
                  for Mac OS X.

matlab            Directory holding the patches for MATLAB-CDF modules.

unix              Holding files for unix-based system, a symbolic link to
                  linux directory.

vms               Pre-build binary package is no longer available for Open-VMS.
                  Users have to build the library/tools from the source.

windows           Directory holding the binary builds of the CDF for windows.
