This is the CDF V3.9.1 software distribution for Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10/11 systems. This binary packages are built from both MS Visual Studio .Net VC++ 2022 (V19.0) compilers for both 32-bit and 64-bit modes. CDF_copyright.txt Information about the CDF copyright. cdf3.9.1_[32|64]bit_MS_Installer.msi This signed Microsoft self-installation file contains everything CDF offers, except for the CDF Perl APIs. It includes the followings: - CDF core library and MS Foundation Class-based tools - CDF C, FORTRAN, and Java APIs - Cygwin-based as well as Java version of the CDF tools - CDF XML tools - CDF Json tools This is either in 32-bit or 64-bit mode version of the distribution. The package, by default, will be installed into c:\program files\cdf_distribution\cdf39_1-dist for 64-bit, and c:\program files (x86)\cdf_distribution\cdf39_1-dist for 32-bit. Users need to have the permission to install the package there. Users can change the installed directory to a location that requires no higher privilege to do so. Note: 1. The distributed conversion tool programs between netCDF and CDF might not be the latest. Please check out the latest ones in https://spdf.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/software/cdf/conversion_tools/binary/latest_version 2. There are scripts (setenv.bat and setenv.ps1) to set up proper environment variables to run the command-line CDF tools and other Java-based applications on Command Terminal or Windows Terminal that fully supports UTF-8. Users can manually place these environment variables into the Windows system properties (run terminal command: sysdm.cpl from a command window and select "Advanced" and "Environment variables", and manually add/change the variables). cdf3.9.1_[32|64]bit_WinZip_Installer.zip This WinZip version contains everything as in the Microsoft installer for CDF. Refer to Note 2 in the MS installer. cdf3.9.1_[32|64]bit_WinZip_Installer.exe This is a WinZip-based installer. It works just like the .zip file, except it has set the default directory that it will install the files into. Refer to Note 2 in the MS installer. csharp-cdf3.9.1-[32|64]bit_WinZip_Installer.zip This WinZip version contains everything for Csharp-CDF APIs. csharp-cdf3.9.1-[32|64]bit_WinZip_Installer.exe This WinZip self-installer for Csharp-CDF APIs. It works just like the .zip file, except it has set the default directory that it will install the files into. PerlCDF3.9.1-[32|64]bit_Winzip_Installer.exe This WinZip self-installer contains everything for the Perl-CDF APIs. src_distribution This file directs you to the source code for the CDF V3.9.1. PerlCDF39_1.tar.gz This compressed tarbal contains the source code of Perl-CDF APIs. You need to install the CDF library prior to building and using the Perl APIs. cdfjava.jar This is the latest version of cdfjava.jar that contains the latest Java APIs. This file is also included in the installers. It is for those who had already installed an older version of Java APIs. If you are not sure whether you have the latest version of the Java APIs, download this file and replace the one you have in the \lib directory. cdfml.jar This file contains the latest version of the CDF XML utilities (written in Java). This file is also included in the installers. It is for those who had already installed an older version of CDFML APIs. If you are not sure whether you have the latest version of the CDF XML tools, download this file and replace the one you have in the \cdfml directory. cdf39_documentation This file points to the documentation of CDF V3.9. checkleapseconds.bat Batch-script to check if the installed leap seconds table is the latest.
