This is the IDL-CDF V3.8.0 patch for IDL of for all versions.

This directory contains the following files: (Text files marked with "**" are
either brand new or modified modules, or modified the text information.  Read 
the individual help text file for info.)

AAREADME-380.txt      This is the readme file you are viewing.

CHANGES.txt           The changes log for the different versions.

showcdfversion.pro | showcdfversion2.pro
                      The IDL script will show the versions of the IDL-CDF
                      interface (.dlm) and the underlying CDF library, which
                      is used for testing the script installation.

idl_cdf.dlm           The main CDF interface module.

CDF_*.txt             The help info for each and every module that IDL provides
                      for operating the CDF library/data. Currently, there are 
                      45 modules. A new module is specified in the following 
                      line.

CDF_EPOCH_UNIXTIME.txt **
                      A new module for converting Unix time and CDF epoch time.

CDF_EPOCH_FROMJULDAY.txt **
                      A new module for converting Julian time(s) to CDF one
                      of epoch times.

CDF_INQUIRE.txt **
                      Modified module to include CDF file version.

CDD_VARGET.txt **
                      Modified module to allow using 0 for rec_count to read
                      all records from rec_start.

HOWTO-install.txt     The help info for installing the IDL patch and files.

idlhelp380.txt        The help information for all IDL modules.

linux                 The directory for modules for the linux box.

macosx                The directory for modules for the Mac OS X box.

solaris               The directory for modules for the SUN/Solaris Sparc box.
