This directory (ftp://nssdcftp.gsfc.nasa.gov/staging/review_08/planetary)
contains digitized Data Set Catalogs (DSCs) corresponding to NSSDC data
collections.  It holds DSCs from planetary data collections specifically
requested by members of the NSSDC data migration team. The DSCs contain
ancillary information on the data which may include formatting information,
data headers, sample data dumps, articles related to the data or instrument,
and/or notes from the instrument P.I. or team.  Most of the DSCs are in the
form of single PDF files, some are directories containing TIFF images.  A
cross reference between the DSC number (DSC_nnnn) and the NSSDC ID is given
in spreadsheet_dsc.xls in the directory above this
(ftp://nssdcftp.gsfc.nasa.gov/staging/review_08/). A complete set of
digitized DSCs for all disciplines is held in the all_catalogs directory
(ftp://nssdcftp.gsfc.nasa.gov/staging/review_08/all_catalogs)
