This directory (ftp://nssdcftp.gsfc.nasa.gov/staging/review_08) contains
directories of digitized Data Set Catalogs (DSCs) corresponding to NSSDC
data collections.  The DSCs contain ancillary information on the data which
may include formatting information, data headers, sample data dumps,
articles related to the data or instrument, and/or notes from the instrument
P.I. or team.  Most of the DSCs are in the form of single PDF files, some
are directories containing TIFF images.

The directory all_catalogs contains all the DSCs that have been digitized
Not every DSC has been digitized so a few are missing. The other directories
(astrophysics, planetary, solar, space_physics) are there to hold DSCs from
those disciplines specifically requested by members of the NSSDC data
migration team.  A cross reference between the DSC number (DSC_nnnn) and the
NSSDC ID is given in spreadsheet_dsc.xls
