URAP Daily Summary Postscript Plots, Interplanetary

NSSDC ID: SPHE-00569

Availability: At NSSDC, Ready for Electronic Access

Time span: 1991-01-01 to 2004-02-29

Description

A URAP Summary Plot includes one day of data for various channels at 128-second resolution from five sensors: the URAP Radio Astronomy Receiver (RAR), Plasma Frequency Receiver (PFR), Wave Form Analyzer (WFA), Fast Envelope Sampler (FES), and Sounder (SND). Each Summary Plot consists of six plot panels. Data are plotted in the form of dynamic spectra (wave intensity versus frequency and time) with the degree of darkness proportional to the wave intensity. Frequency is plotted along the vertical axis, and time along the horizontal axis. A full description of the data plotted in the Summary Plot panels is given in the URAP user's guide. The plot data files are provided in Postscript format and can be transferred as ASCII files. Details on the URAP experiment are available in Stone, R.G., et al., "The Unified Radio and Plasma Wave Investigation," Astron. and Astrophys. Supp. Ser., 92, 291-316, 1992.
