This directory contains the data from TIMED GUVI experiment
TIMED = Thermosphere Ionosphere Mesosphere Energetics and Dynamics satellite
GUVI = Global UltraViolet Imager

Version 13 data (levels_v13) are the most up to date calibrated products and 
are now the default GUVI data products. Details about the changes to the 
calibration and data products can be found in the document
GUVI_changes_to_calibration_and_products_v1.1.pdf in the documentation
directory.

Version 13 supersedes the Version 10 (levels_v10) that is also included 
in this directory. The older version remains available because it was used 
for a large number of pre-2020 publications. Please note that Version 13 
filenames include a 6-digit orbit number while Version 10 filenames include
a 5-digit orbit number and thus end with orbit 99,999.

Version 13 includes an additional data product. "superlevel1b” is a product 
that augments the data in the limb & disk or spectrographic L1b product.  
For imaging mode, it reformats the disk and limb data combined into a single 
file and adds more detailed information about the calibration and the 
TIMED position. Superlevel1B was actually defined for data from the Special 
Sensor Ultraviolet Spectrographic Imager (SSUSI) experiment, that is flying 
on the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) satellites.
