This directory provides access to energetic particle data from instruments
flown on many planetary, heliocentric and geocentric spacecraft by the
Theoretical and Applied Space Physics Division, Skobeltsyn Institute of
Nuclear Physics, Moscow State university (TASPD SINP MSU).
The data were prepared with partial support from NASA (NAG5-4645) by Dr.
Nikolai Pavlov of TASPD. Comments and questions may be directed to him at

This directory includes documentation files prepared by Dr. Pavlov:
COMMON_INFO.TXT (general information common to data from all spacecraft),
LOW_NOISE.TXT (how "low noise" data sets were derived),
RAH_TO_HGI.TXT (conversion between coordinate systems),
SC_COORDINATES.TXT (description of coordinate systems used)
The directory also provides subdirectories for the individual spacecraft
from deep space or lunar or planetary orbits:
LUNA-17,19,21,22 VEGA-1,2
MARS-2,4,5,7 PHOBOS-2
VENERA-2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,13,14,16 ZOND-1,2
and near Earth: COSMOS-900
Each such subdirectory has ASCII data files, spacecraft-specific documentation
files (s/c_descr.txt with "s/c" being the individual spacecraft names),
a trajectory file, and a GIF file with overview plots.
