Pioneer Venus Orbiter (PVO) was the first orbiter mission designed to conduct a comprehensive and long term investigation of the planet Venus. PVO measured the detailed structure of the upper atmosphere and ionosphere of Venus and investigated the interaction of the solar wind with the Venusian ionosphere. The 10-min merged plasma and magnetic field data "pioneervenus_merged_solar-wind_10m.dat" are made using the flat files from University of California, Los Angeles. They are 10-minute averages for selected parameters of the interplanetary magnetic field, solar wind plasma, and spacecraft trajectory from Pioneer Venus Orbiter (PVO). The data were taken when PVO was outside the bow shock of the Venusian ionosphere and was in the solar wind. Interval used for averaging is 20 min. The PI of Solar Wind Plasma Analyzer (OPA) is Aaron Barnes at NASA Ames Research Center, and the PI of Magnetometer (OMAG) is Christopher Russell at UCLA.
