15-Minute + 2-Hour Averages of Cosmic Ray Fluxes, 1978-1987

NSSDC ID: SPHE-00202

Availability: At NSSDC, Ready for Offline Distribution (or Staging if Digital)

Time span: 1978-08-15 to 1987-02-07

Description

Data from the Medium-Energy Cosmic Ray experiment on ISEE-3/ICE consist of 15-minute and 2-hour averages of data from the very low energy telescopes (VLET) and high energy telescopes (HET) which together measure particles with Z = 1-30 in the energy range 1-500 MeV/nucleon and electrons in the range 0.2-10 MeV. The data files consist of an ASCII header that describes the format of the data fields followed by the data which may be in either ASCII or binary form. Each row of data in the data file corresponds to a particular event or time interval while each column gives the values of a particular parameter (e.g., 10 MeV proton flux, D1 pulse height, type II radio intensity) for each event.
