These experimenter-supplied data from the Quasi-static Electric Fields experiment on ISEE-1 consist of 3-second spin averages of the GSE X- and Y-components of the electric field strength, the spacecraft potential and wave amplitude data [log (microvolts-per-meter / square root (Hz)] in 3 filter bands (3-14 Hz, 14-80 Hz, and 120-600 Hz full width at half-maximum; center frequencies of 4, 50, and 250 Hz), along with spacecraft GSM positions and spin period averages of the magnetic field GSE X-, Y- and Z-components derived from the fluxgate magnetometer data. The uncertainty in the zero level of the x-component of the electric field measurement is 1-2 mV/meter; the fluctuations are accurate to about 0.25 mV/meter. The uncertainties in the measurements of the y-component of the electric field are much less. The time periods covered are 01Nov77 to 15Nov78, 14Feb80 to 05Jan82, and 09Nov83 to 02May84. A separate data set [77-102A-06H] contains snapshots of the electric field waveform data in burst mode (128 samples in 0.5 seconds). The instrument was not operating optimally during 1979 and much of 1982 and 1983; it failed in May of 1984.
