aareadme for /spacecraft_data/explorer/explorer35/ directory. Explorer 35 (AIMP-2, IMP-E) was launched 19 July 1967 and placed in a lunar orbit where it made measurements of magnetic fields, plasmas and energetic particles until its end of life in 1972. Over the years, NSSDC acquired much data from Explorer 35 instrument Principal Investigators, although most of it was on binary magnetic tape. NSSDC has been passing a significant portion of these data through its "DIOnAS" program for writing the mostly binary records into standard packaging. Much of the data in this directory are these DIOnAS'd data sets. There is presently (July, 2010) no documentation for these DIOnAS'd data in this ftp directory, so potential users should contact the NSSDC Request Support Office at 301-286-6995 if interested in these data. There are, however, two data sets recently converted (by NSSDC and the Space Physics Data Facility at GSFC) from original binary tapes to ASCII files that are also within this directory along with supporting readme files. One of these data sets contains 81.92s magnetic field data from the GSFC magnetometer plus spacecraft ephemeris data, and the other contains 3-min plasma parameter data from the MIT Faraday Cup. ------------------------------------------
