https://spdf.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/data/ibex/00readme.txt NASA's Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX) spacecraft This directory contains subdirectories for the two major Energetic Neutral Atom (ENA) instruments flown on NASA's Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX) spacecraft, called IBEX-Lo and IBEX-Hi, and a subdirectory for count rate data from the Background Monitor. Lo and Hi refer to energy ranges 0.01-2.0 keV and 0.38-6.0 keV respectively. Subdirectories: background_monitor/ cdf/ Converted data into CDFs with full metadata for CDAWeb cdf/ephemeris/ssc Orbit data used in SSCweb cdf/h3/ Converted data in CDFs documents/ Documents hi/ IBEX-Hi Energetic Neutral Atom (ENA) orbits/ Orbit data in SPICE kernels, latest on top, rest in older/ raw_data_releases/ release1..n/ Data releases from Princeton site Extensive documentation on the IBEX mission, instruments and data are accessible at and through the IBEX team's web site at https://ibex.princeton.edu/ Documentation files in the underlying subdirectories also contain much of this information. Note some minor difference in the organization of data here relative to that provided by the IBEX team. We separate the overall SPDF IBEX data directories area first by IBEX instrument whereas the IBEX team first separates by data type (time series, maps, calibration data) and then by instrument. Another significant difference is that SPDF data directories separate digital data from PNG-formatted image data at a relatively high subdirectory level whereas the original SWRI data directories has interspersed digital and image data in individual, lowest-level subdirectories. When using the IBEX data from the SPDF archive, please acknowledge the IBEX mission team, instrument team, and NASA Space Physics Data Facility for making the data available. - Note added July 2023: IBEX data continue to be made public in a series of Data Releases that are distinguished at a high level at https://ibex.princeton.edu/DataRelease - Release 17 consists of IBEX-Lo and IBEX-Hi digital and PNG-formatted image sky maps of many types (uncorrected, as transformed from spacecraft to heliospheric frame, as transformed using "survival probabilities" from 1AU to the outer heliosphere, etc.) See relevant readme's in underlying subdirectories https://ibex.princeton.edu/DataRelease17 - Release 16 consists of the data, maps, and documentation, a complete eleven year set of Energetic Neutral Atom (ENA) observations from ~0.1 to 6 keV for the years 2009-2019: IBEX-Lo and IBEX-Hi digital and PNG-formatted image sky maps of many types (uncorrected, as transformed from spacecraft to heliospheric frame, as transformed using "survival probabilities" from 1AU to the outer heliosphere, etc.) See relevant readme's and data at: https://ibex.princeton.edu/DataRelease16 - Release 15 consists of the data and documentation, demonstrating Variability in the Position of the IBEX Ribbon https://ibex.princeton.edu/DataRelease15 - Release 14 consists of the data and documentation, demonstrating Time-Dependence of the IBEX Ribbon and the Globally Distributed Energetic Neutral Atom Flux Using the First 9 Years of Observations https://ibex.princeton.edu/DataRelease14 - Release 13 incorporates IBEX data products from the publication McComas et al. (2018) 'Heliosphere Responds to a Large Solar Wind Intensification: Decisive Observations from IBEX'. Compton-Getting (CG) corrections have been applied to the data to account for the speed of the spacecraft relative to the direction of arrival of the ENAs. It includes the subset of additional CG maps used in the paper which were not included in the 7 year data release. See the 7 year data release website for additional file descriptions. https://ibex.princeton.edu/DataRelease13 - Release 12 incorporates IBEX data products from the publication: Remote Measurements of Magnetospheric Energetic Neutral Emissions by the Interstellar Boundary Explorer: Probing Dayside and Nightside Processes https://ibex.princeton.edu/DataRelease12 - Release 11 incorporates IBEX data products from three publications in 2016. The data includes interstellar oxygen parameters for 2009 and 2010 from Schwadron et al. (2016), spin-angle count rates for the warm breeze fit from Kubiak et al. (2016) and all-sky maps of secondary interstellar helium and oxygen from Park et al. (2016), as well as additional supporting data products. https://ibex.princeton.edu/DataRelease11 - Release 10 consists of the data, maps, and documentation, a complete seven year set of Energetic Neutral Atom (ENA) observations from ~0.1 to 6 keV for the years 2009-2015: IBEX-Lo and IBEX-Hi digital and PNG-formatted image sky maps of many types (uncorrected, as transformed from spacecraft to heliospheric frame, as transformed using "survival probabilities" from 1AU to the outer heliosphere, etc.) See relevant readme's and data at: https://ibex.princeton.edu/DataRelease10 - Data Release 9 consists of the data, maps, and documentation related to the publication: Direct Sampling the Local Interstellar Medium Click here to access the papers published in the Astrophysical Journal Supplement.
