Hourly Electron-Proton Fluxes, Helios 1 Energetic Electron-Proton Detector

Description

This data set includes hourly averages of sectored rates for protons and electrons measured by the Helios 1 Energetic Electron-Proton Detector. The data records have been reformatted into ASCII format from the PDP binary format of the original data set (NSSDC ID 74-097A-10A). Each original data record has been written into groups of 1110 data fields (separated by spaces) for integers or real numbers. The first 14 fields are for header information. For each of 16 sectors (sector 1 towards the Sun) there are electron count rates for each of 15 energy channels at 17 to 835 keV and proton count rates for the same number of channels at 21 to 677 keV. The 16-th energy channel in each case counts electrons above 835 keV and protons above 677 keV, respectively. Several other types of rates are also included.
