This data set was created at NSSDC/SPDF as a subset of original data available at the LANL site: ftp://nis-ftp.lanl.gov/pub/projects/genesis/3dmom/ The data are from the Genesis Ion Monitor Experiment, whose PI is Roger C. Wiens of LANL. John Steinberg, LANL, has also been a key person preparing the original data. The data accessible herein were subsequently time shifted and used for making hourly averages "at Earth time." These averages were compared with hourly plasma data from other spacecraft (see https://omniweb.gsfc.nasa.gov/ftpbrowser/merged.html) while creating the OMNI 2 data set.
