Low Energy Ion Composition Data

Description

These experimenter-supplied, low energy ion composition data are on binary magnetic tapes created on an IBM 3033 computer. Each variable-length physical record contains at least one set of a 32-byte header record followed by five 28-byte data records. The header contains day number, start and stop times in hours, minutes and seconds, and a count for the number of header records (1) and ion species (5) per logical record set. Each data record contains one of the following hydrogen, helium or oxygen ion species - H+, He, He+, O++, O+, plus number density; mean total flux; mean differential flux; mean energy; and mean background counts. These data were submitted as input for Coordinated Data Analysis Workshops and are therefore limited to discrete periods within the time interval covered.
