Document text follows: ---------------------- DE-2 Langmuir Probe data on NDADS _________________________________ The Dynamics Explorer 2 Langmuir Probe (LANG) ASCII files contain the following geophysical parameters: electron temperature, plasma density, and satellite potential. They also contain the most important DE-2 orbit parameters. The geophysical parameters in the ASCII files were derived from the raw volt-ampere data from LANG. PI-provided software was used to convert the raw binary data into the ASCII geophysical data. For more on DE-2, LANG, and the binary data and software, see LANG_VOLDESC_DE.SFD. The LANG daily files are requested with the DATA_TYPE = LANG and the ENTRY_ID = yyddd and are then staged as yyddd_LANG_DE_500MS_V01.ASC; yy is the year and ddd is the day of the year.
