These data are assembled in file group(s) where each group is treated as an
individual data unit.  In this directory are located one or more tar files, each
of which contains the data files from a single file group.
Each tar file also contains an XML "attributes file" that provides
descriptive information about the data unit including:
 - organizing parameter information (e.g., data unit start and data stop times)
 - a CRC32 checksum for each file in the data unit
 - identifiers of format descriptions for the file(s) in the data unit

Subdirectory "./data" holds one or more directories each containing the contents
a single file group.

Subdirectory "./attributes" holds the XML attributes file(s) extracted from the
tar file(s).
