These investigator-supplied plasma measurements are on a binary magnetic tape created on a UNIVAC 1100 computer. Each 15-word logical record contains mission ID, mode number, solar zenith angle, orbit number; mean Julian date; year, day of year, hour and minute of day; McIlwain's L-shell parameter, geomagnetic local time; magnetic indexes (Kp and Ap), Covington's solar noise index, Zurich sunspot number; magnetic field strength, satellite altitude; geodetic, geomagnetic, and magnetic coordinates; plasma density; electron temperature; electron flux; ion density and temperature; light atomic and molecular ions; spacecraft potential; He+ ions; and offset ion density. On Aeros-A, the data were for 3 am and 3 pm local mean time.
