This advisory comes from the SWEPAM team and applies to all Level 2 data for the indicated Bartels rotations. NSSDC will acquire the reprocessed data as it becomes available through the ACE Science Center. The reprocessed data without ancilliary ephemeris parameters are available directly from the SWEPAM team's public web site at the following URL: http://swepam.lanl.gov/data/raw/index.cgi/swepam_dswi_level2 Changes for SWEPAM Team software version 2.01, June 2002: ============================================================= Data have been reprocessed for Bartels rotations 2279-2295. This reprocessing was done to account for changing CEM gains by incorporating the results of the weekly on-board calibrations. No gain changes were observed prior to mid-2000, and the gain changes vary slowly with time. Thus changes due to this procedure are generally small, although they become more significant at later times. By rotation 2295, typical changes in density (from the previously released Level 2 values) are ~10%, changes in temperature are ~5%, and changes in speed are less than 0.5%. Note also that all future Level 2 data will include these improved calibrations. 2002-08-08 JFC BULLETIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This FTP directory is being created for the Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE) spacecraft to provide updates on the most recent data accessible either here via FTP or from the off-line NSSDC archive. The ACE Science Center (ASC) at Caltech will be the primary site for distribution of ACE data during the active mission and can be reached via the web at the following address: http://www.srl.caltech.edu/ACE/ASC/. Level 1 data are created by the Ace Science Center for primary usage by ACE experimenters; CD-WO copies of these data are being provided for archiving to NSSDC. Here we will provide readme files and other supporting (e.g., ephemeris data files and source code) data from the most recently received Level 1 data. The supporting data and source files are in zip format and will be updated from the most recent CD-WO data deliveries to NSSDC. The experiment data files in NCSA Hierarchical Data Format (HDF) are not provided here at present; these can be obtained from ASC or from our off-line archive. Level 1 data currently at NSSDC extend from 1997-08-25 to 1999-01-26. The off-line CD-WO volumes are cataloged as NSSDC ID# 97-045A-00A and can be requested by e-mail to request@nssdca.gsfc.nasa.gov. The most recent CD-WO (#27, 4th edition) includes Version 2-9 Level 1 data for 1999-01-05 to 1999-01-26. On-line plotting and retrieval services for ACE trajectory data from NSSDC's Satellite Situation Center (SSC) can be accessed with our SSCWeb server at http://sscweb.gsfc.nasa.gov/ . 03/03/1999 JFC
