Brief summary of the archive and work. > Please consult the document "Magnetic Field Modeling Database Description Final" > for a detailled description of this study and its products. 1) This archive was produced under NASA grant NNX15AF53G. The purpose of this grant was to extend the database of magnetic field observations used in the construction of the Tsyganenko TS07D empirical magnetic field model with observations from the Polar, Cluster, THEMIS, and Van Allen Probes. This database is the primary products of this work. It is archived here so that it can be used for further development of empirical magnetic field models by the scientific community. > This database is stored in the directory '/database/ascii'. > Please consult the document "Magnetic Field Modeling Database Description Final" > for a detailled description of the data format and data averaging process. 2) The TS07D empirical magnetic field model differs from classical Tsyganenko empirical geomagnetic field in that the equatorial currents are replaced with a flexible basis function expansion series. The expansion series coefficients are derived from dynamical fitting of nearest-neighbor data subset of the database. Every epoch in the model has its own custom fit associated with set of model parameters. 3) During validation of the database, the TS07D model was fit from 1995-2016 at five-minute intervals using the dynamical binning approach with the newly developed magnetometer database. The resulting coefficients/parameters are archived in ASCII-format files compressed in yearly files in tar format. > These coefficients are stored in directory '/derived_products/ts07_coefficients'. 4) Survey movies in mp4 format showing the temporal evolution of the model magnetosphere in 30-minute time steps were generated for each month and are also included in this archive. > The movies are stored in the directory /derived_products/survey_movies. 5) For validation studies, the TS07D model has been included in the IDL Geopack DLM authored by Haje Korth . The reference version v10.5 has been included in the archive. The current version can be obtained through the web site http://ampere.jhuapl.edu/code/idl_geopack.html. > The IDL geopack DLM and associated files are included in the directory > /derived_products/idl_geopack_dlm. > Please check the website http://rbspgway.jhuapl.edu/geomag_field/model/index.html > for the latest version of the TS07 model and the associated coefficents.
